“2014, A Year of Release for the People of God!â€

Pharaoh was allowing the Israelite to go and worship God, but there was always a stipulation on what they could do. The Israelite had no freedom to truly worship their God. They were still under “bondage.†Please read Exodus 9th thru the 12th chapter in the Bible. After they worship God, they would still have to return to Egypt. However, everything that Pharaoh done to them was in God’s plan for deliverance for the Israelite. He was going to teach the Israelite once and for all how great He was in comparison to Pharaoh, and his threats. He was going to allow His people to truly understand what was real freedom. God control the Earth by changing the time of the day (darkness); the weather(hail storms); waters (blood); diseases, and even death. He showed the Israelite beyond a shadow or a doubt that He was “the Great I Am.†He proved to them that there was no one greater than Him!

When Jesus walked the Earth, He also did the same things to show the people of His time, and us (today) that He also could do for His people, what God had done in the time of the Israelite. He did this to show that He was the Great I Am in the flesh. Pharaoh, in the Old Testament was a symbolic of Satan! He wants God’s people to stay in slavery all of their lives. He gives them work to do, but when it’s beneficial to him, he make them strive harder for their lively-hood. This is not of God! Today, we have wasted enough time in Egypt. (the World way of doing things) We have had our children to be born and raise here in slavery. It’s time for us to allow Jesus to take us to “the promise land.†Egypt is the World where Satan is the “prince.†Read John 12:31 in the Bible.

God took the Israelite out of Egypt, but He still had to work on getting Egypt out of them, because they still had or possessed “the slave” mentality. However, God wanted His people to be totally free. He wanted them to see that with Him nothing would be impossible. He wanted them to have a “stress free†life, no matter where they were. They asked and He would provide. Food from Heaven; clothes that never wore out; and a body that never got sick, these blessings were theirs. The only time there were problems were when they disobeyed God. Some of their hearts were still trying to make it happen for themselves and they distrusted God. They were still trying to lean to their own understanding (their flesh) and their actions displeased God. Flesh is symbolic also of bondage, also. It brings on pride, and frustrations, angry and every emotion that occurs when things don’t seem to work out like a person thinks it should. Flesh keeps us small-minded, instead of looking at God as being our unlimited source. God has everything that we will ever need to live a successful life on the Earth; we only have to trust Him and ask for it in prayer. Of course our hearts have to be God-centered because this will help us to have the right motives in our asking for what we need, in faith.

It’s time that we are sat free, by doing things Jesus’ way! We have to be willing in “2014,†to spend more time learning about our Lord; building on our relationship with Him; and those He will send our way! Prayer is a pivotal part of building a relationship with God. Faith and trust in Him and Him Word is the key to your successes this year. Let Him take you out of Egypt or this World’s way of doing things, and you will never regret it. By-the-way, let Him help you to change your attitude on issues in your past. You must be willing to repent, forgive and be forgiven of the wrong that you have done, in order for Him to change your future forever.
