The Anointed Church of Jesus

Jesus said that upon this Rock will I build My Church and the gates of Hell shall not prevail against it. The word that comes to mind is the words, “My Church.” The Church of Jesus is not just any building or edifice that man has made to be grand and glorious by putting furniture in it and calling it Jesus’ place. No man can sit in Jesus’ place, but the Holy Spirit can! Now, the Holy Spirit will anoint and appoint men and women to service in the household of God, but He won’t base their calling on what others feel or their opinions, but what Jesus’ desires.

God doesn’t dwell in a building, but within the Christian’s heart. So therefore if you build the biggest, the most beautiful and grandest place, Jesus still may not dwell there, because it was built by the flesh and not by God’s specification. Jesus said that He was the way; the truth; and the life. The anointing that He gives to heal, deliver, and meet the need of the body of Christ is worth more than silver, gold or any currency that man has today. The gifts that comes from God has an anointing that far surpass anything that mankind can duplicate. God had the Israelites to travel through the wilderness and gave them a portable tabernacle; where the Ark of the Covenant was kept and where other functions of the tabernacle were performed. God blessed that place and lead them through the wilderness with Moses for forty years. Their shoes never wore out. Please read for your devotional reading this week: 1 John 3rd chapter; Exodus 26th -29h chapters; and Romans 5th chapter.

The natural things in this life always come first; then the spiritual things. A baby is born to this world breathing the oxygen that their environment produces which is conducive to sustaining human life. However, when you are born again spiritually there is a spiritual oxygen given to us by Jesus that will sustain our spiritual life. (John 20:22), tells us and when He said this, He breathed on them, and saith unto them, receive the Holy Ghost. Now, ask yourself this, how Jesus could naturally breathe on them if He died. How could Jesus go up to Heaven and present His blood on our behalf as an offering for our sins? What breath could He be transferring to His disciples? I submit to you that it was the breath of God! This breath will take you into the very arenas of Heaven. The breath of God will give you the ability to carry out the Will of God on this earth.

Jesus didn’t build His house from the beginning using natural things, other than mankind. The Father wants us to love His Son, and to allow His Son to give us true treasure that won’t wear out; that the moth won’t come in and chew up; rust can’t destroy it nor can a thief take it. He wants us to have a life that is free from the destruction of this world and the things that are in it.

Finally, I am reminded of a popular television show where people are asked to give up things that they have been holding onto for years to obtain something better. Nine times out of ten when the designer asked them to give up what seem precious to them for something better; the answer is always “no way.” However, when they are offered something better for them and their family, often they are guaranteed that they will receive it; they will usually say “yes.”

This is how Jesus is concerning us and our lives. He is offering us life and more abundantly; He is offering us hope and a place in Him where true love, peace and joy lies. He’s offering rest for our souls. Jesus’ house is hardly like anything you see today. His house is beautiful within you and it get more beautiful as you walk closer to Him. He’ll always have room for others. Why don’t you let Him into your heart, today! Your life will be changed forever, and you too can experience and live in the Church that Jesus Christ built! Let Him into your heart today!
